콜 토르 호수 (코치코르)

코치코르마을 근처의 해발 3050m 고도에 위피한 빙하호수

Kol-Tor Lake is a lake located in a fascinating gorge in the Tusky Ala-Tu Mountains at an altitude of 3050 m above sea level near the village  Kochkor, Naryn Region, more than 200 km from Bishkek. When the glaciers melt, they wash the soil and grind stones and rocks into dust, causing the lake's light to twinkle turquoise in the bright sunlight.

The name 'Kol Tor' is very common in Kyrgyzstan, but there are many lakes with the same name all over Kyrgyzstan. 'Kol Tor' is derived from a local word meaning 'place of honor', meaning 'the tallest lake' or 'the last lake above the valley'.

Lake Kol Tor can be reached in about 2 hours by trekking from Lake Kok -Ukok, so why not enjoy both lakes together when visiting Lake Kok-Ukok?
